Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents want to know about Chiquiflix.

About the Content

What age range is Chiquiflix designed for?

Chiquiflix is designed for children ages 2-6. The vocabulary and sentence structure follow how children naturally acquire language, starting with body parts and family, then expanding to animals, food, feelings, and the world around them.

What languages are available?

English is currently paired with 8 languages: French, German, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, and Spanish. In every episode, one character speaks English and the other speaks the second language. Then they swap for reinforcement.

How long are the episodes?

Each episode is 30-60 seconds. Short enough for young attention spans, but packed with natural bilingual conversation. Kids can watch several in a row or just one at a time.

Do I need to watch episodes in order?

No. Every episode is self-contained. There is no running storyline or required viewing order. Children can jump into whichever topic interests them most.

How many episodes are there?

The library currently includes hundreds of episodes across 100 topics over 10 seasons. Each episode can be watched in 16 different language combinations.

Is the full collection available now?

Not yet — we're still bootstrapping. Season 1 is rolling out toward 100 episodes across 10 topics, with new episodes added every week. What you see in the app today is what's ready; your subscription includes every new episode as it lands.

Subscription & Access

Are there free episodes?

Yes. Sample episodes are available free on our site and on YouTube. The full library and every supported language option require a subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, cancel anytime from your account page. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial with full access to every episode and every language pair.

Can I download episodes for offline use?

Subscribers can download subtitle files (SRT) for offline reference. Full offline video downloads are planned for a future update.

How much screen time is appropriate?

Each episode is under one minute long. We recommend short sessions: 3-5 episodes at a time is plenty for young learners. The short format makes it easy to set natural stopping points.

Our Learning Philosophy

Natural Conversation

Children learn language by hearing it in context. Every episode is a natural exchange between friends: a question, an answer, a follow-up. No drills, no flashcards, no quizzes.

Bilingual Immersion

Both languages appear in every episode. Kids hear the target language paired with a language they already know, building comprehension through contrast and repetition.

Scaffolded Topics

Episodes are organized from concrete to abstract: body parts before feelings, family before neighborhood. This follows the developmental path that children naturally take when acquiring language.
